Manchester United and Chelsea Cristiano Ronaldo has been tipped to leave Real Madrid by Barcelona legend Hristo Stoichkov, according to reports from the Express.
Ronaldo has been under heavy criticism in recent weeks following some poor performances, while also irritating a group of fans when he was caught celebrating his birthday after a 4-0 loss to Atletico Madrid.
The Portugal superstar was also annoyed with the Los Blancos supporters booing their side in their 4-3 loss to FC Schalke in the Champions League last week, despite Real progressing to the quarter-finals.
Now reports have suggested that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is already looking to offload Ronaldo in the near future, which will alert the likes of Man United, Chelsea, and English champions Manchester City.
“You’d have to ask Florentino about Ronaldo’s future,” Stoichkov said.
“Sooner or later, Cristiano will be sold by his president.
“The world of football is like that, but it depends on his president.
“I don’t know if he is short of money. If he is, it’s a good moment to sell him.”
Ronaldo has become one of Real Madrid’s greatest ever players since his £80million move from Old Trafford back in 2009, scoring 293 goals in 285 appearances for the European champions.
