Manchester United and Liverpool transfer target Martin Odegaard has finally decided to join Real Madrid amidst being linked with a number of top European clubs, Telegraph reports.
Apart from the two mentioned clubs, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City were also interested in the signing of the 16-year-old wonderkid who has already visited most of the teams before making his final decision.
Madrid have now confirmed that the Stromsgodset starlet has now agreed terms with the European Champions and will undergo a medical today before he is unveiled to the media.
A club statement read: “Real Madrid and Stroemsgodset have reached an agreement for the transfer of Martin Odegaard,”
Apart from the Premier League elites keeping a close eye on him, Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and La Liga giants Barcelona were amongst the many interested parties.
It is believed that Odegaard will sign for Madrid for an estimated £3.1million, but will not feature for the senior squad as he will start his career in Spain by playing under Zinedine Zidane for the Real Madrid B team.
