Manchester United are currently in negotiations with Porto in an attempt to sign Danilo this summer, according to reports from the Express.
Danilo has been heavily linked with a move away from the Estadio do Dragao after some impressive performances for the Primeira Liga side, with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona both keen on his services.
However, it seems that the Brazilian is looking to play in the English Premier League, which has Man United looking to conclude his transfer before the end of the season.
Several reports suggested that Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal was intending to match Danilo’s £37million release clause to facilitate the move, but it seems like the former Bayern Munich boss is trying to lower his price tag.
Porto are nevertheless still hoping that the La Liga giants will stump up his buy-out clause, but if not then United will be confident of landing the 23-year-old during the next transfer window.
Other Premier League clubs are also interested in his signature, with Liverpool monitoring the situation as well.
