Manchester United are believed to have made a huge bid in their efforts to sign Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane before the start of the new season, according to Marca, as reported by the Express.
The 22-year-old has been one of the top striking candidates for United manager Louis van Gaal during the current window after a number of departures left the Dutchman quite limited for choices in his front line.
He lost both Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie this summer as the pair earlier completed moves to Chelsea and Fenerbahce respectively.
Van Gaal now has only Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez as his two senior attackers next season with James Wilson serving a backup role, but has constantly been linked with a loan move elsewhere.
Kane has been in remarkable form for his club this past term, making a total of 51 appearances, scoring 31 goals while providing a further six assists.
