Manchester United’s deal to sign former midfielder Paul Pogba for a world-record fee is yet to be completed and the French midfielder is set to return to Juventus training on Monday following his holiday in the United States coming to an end, BBC Sport report.
The all-action star’s possible return to Old Trafford has dominated column inches in the press over recent months, with it appearing only a matter of time before Jose Mourinho added the midfielder to his squad.
However, with the new Premier League season only a week away, Pogba still remains a Juventus player.
Mourinho has admitted that he wants to sign a new midfielder and the Frenchman is believed to be keen on a move back to United.
But, Bianconeri boss Max Allegri has stated that Pogba is due back in Turin on Monday and will commence pre-season training with the Italian champions.
“It makes no sense at the moment talking about potential replacements for Pogba because, right now, Pogba is a Juventus player,”
“I’ve summoned Pogba together with (Patrice) Evra tomorrow night. So that means he has training here in Vinovo on Monday.”
United have until August 31 to sow up a deal for the midfielder.
