Manchester United are once again considering a move for Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller, with a £50million contract said to be in the works, according to reports from the Express.
Muller was previously linked with a move to Old Trafford during the summer, but the speculation cooled with the centre-forward revealing he wanted to remain in the Bundesliga.
However, it looks like the Red Devils are once again testing Bayern’s resolve to hold on to the Germany international, with manager Louis van Gaal hoping to lure Muller with a mega contract worth £50million.
United are keen to sign a striker to fill the void left by Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao’s departure, and Van Gaal is willing to cough up £70million to secure Muller’s services.
Tottenham Hotspur ace Harry Kane has also been linked, but it looks like the Lilywhites won’t let their star striker leave with only over two weeks left in the transfer window.
Muller, 25, played 48 games in all competitions last season, scoring 21 goals.
