Manchester United are believed to be considering the sale of Angel Di Maria to Paris Saint-Germain to raise funds for defensive reinforcements in the shape Mats Hummels and Diego Godin, Metro reports.
The 26-year-old completed a £59.7million move to Old Trafford in the summer from Real Madrid, and despite a string of strong performances ahead of his switch; he has been unable to replicate them for his new side.
PSG were heavily linked with a move for Di Maria before his transfer to the Premier League and is said to still be interested in his addition amid rumours that the Argentine attacker is finding life difficult in England.
The Ligue 1 giant are looking to bring the former Madrid star to their club as they prepare to lose attacking duo Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi at the end of the season.
With Louis van Gaal already having a strong midfield line-up to choose from, he is yet to reinforce his struggling defence and the sale of Di Maria could clear up some room to make a move for Borussia Dortmund’s star Hummels and Atletico Madrid centre-back Godin.
