Manchester United star Phil Jones has admitted that he is feeling very good after returning from an injury picked up before the start of the campaign, Daily Star reports.
The 23-year-old suffered a blood-clot which prevented him from featuring from the start of the season, with manager Louis van Gaal opting to partner Daley Blind alongside Chris Smalling.
However, upon his return to full fitness, Jones managed to win back a regular role alongside Smalling as Blind has now been pushed onto the bench.
The England international admitted that he is feeling confident of his abilities after playing three consecutive games for United without any setbacks.
“I think I have played three games on the bounce for United and am feeling good and fresh,” he said.
“Hopefully I can continue that and play more games.”
United have been very strong in defence so far this season and have now kept five consecutive clean sheets, with the latest coming in their 2-0 Premier League win over West Bromwich Albion.
With 12 league matches already being played, the Red Devils find themselves fourth on the table, two points away from Manchester City and Arsenal in joint-first place.
