Manchester United will need to look for an alternative defensive transfer target in the January window, with Torino star Kamil Glik set to end speculation by signing a new contract, talkSPORT reports.
The Poland international was heavily linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico di Torino during the summer after an impressive campaign for the Serie A side, with the likes of Bayern Munich also keen on his services.
The Red Devils were extremely interested in bringing in a new centre-back, but were unable to secure a deal for any of their targets.
But with United already signing Matteo Darmian from Torino, they hoped that their good relationship could see them make another move for Glik when the transfer window reopens in January.
However, the 27-year-old is now set to sign a new deal with il Toro, which will force Man United to look elsewhere for defensive reinforcements.
Glik made 44 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring eight goals.
