Man United duo set for move to Champions League rivals

Turkish giants Galatasaray are keen to take advantage of Jose Mourinho streamlining his Manchester United squad, with The Daily Star reporting a potential double move for Antonio Valencia and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The Red Devils manager has banished the German veteran to the reserves, which means that the midfielder will surely leave Old Trafford this summer.

Schweinsteiger has a venerable track record in the game, winning just about every possible team honour, but the potential arrival of Paul Pogba in a world-record move from Juventus is said to have ended the former Bayern Munich man’s tenure in Manchester after only one season.

Valencia meanwhile is another one that faces an uncertain future, with the Ecuador international most commonly featuring out of position at right-back in recent years.

Although the majority of United’s transfer signings are likely to have already been made, there is seemingly a handful of players that could still leave the club before the end of August.
