Manchester United are considering a move to sign £34million-rated Chelsea target John Stones from Everton, according to reports from EPSN.
The 21-year-old has been the subject of multiple bids from the Premier League champions, but the Toffees are reluctant to let him leave.
However, with Stones being valued at around the £34million region, manager Roberto Martinez could still consider his exit if the full fee is met.
United boss Louis van Gaal is currently in the market to reinforce his centre-back positions as he is being forced to use versatile midfielder Daley Blind in that role.
He was linked with both Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos as well as Valencia’s Nicolas Otamendi, but with negotiations looking at a standstill, the Dutchman is now keeping an eye on the situation of the England international.
The Red Devils are even ready to arrange a swap deal involving Toffees target Jonny Evans, who has been linked with a move to Goodison Park throughout the summer.
