Manchester United are said to be considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc should they failed to sign Pep Guardiola, Metro reports.
Current boss Louis van Gaal is currently under heavy pressure to perform after picking up a number of disappointing results, with the latest coming in the 2-1 home defeat to Norwich City this past weekend.
His side has now gone six games without a win as United chiefs are said to have already begun talks over the future of the Dutchman.
Van Gaal will see his contract expire at the end of the upcoming campaign, but should results continue to go against the club, he may be forced to depart before his deal is up.
Blanc has emerged as another target for the Red Devils given that Chelsea and Manchester City are also keen to lure Guardiola to their respective sides.
United are keeping their options open in regards to their managerial selection as recently sacked Blues manager Jose Mourinho is also being lined up as another alternative.
