Manchester United fear that PSV Eindhoven star Memphis Depay could be injured before his proposed £25million move to Old Trafford, according to reports from the Express.
PSV are set to play their final game of the season without their prized asset, with Depay yet to undergo a medical ahead of the switch.
However, the 21-year-old has revealed that he is hoping he can play a part in the fixture against Den Haag this weekend, even if it means himself getting injured.
“If it were up to me, I would play that game too,” Depay said.
Depay was heavily linked with a move to United since last year’s World Cup, where he starred for Holland under the guidance of now Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal.
But a move failed to materialize, with Van Gaal reportedly telling the winger to wait another year before making the switch.
And last week the transfer finally happened, with the two clubs agreeing on a £25million fee to facilitate the move.
Depay has had a brilliant campaign for the Eridivisie champions, scoring 28 goals in all competitions.
