Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is keen on joining Chelsea this summer, according to reports from the Mirror.
Begovic has been heavily linked with a move away from the Britannia in recent weeks, with Manchester United also interested in the Potters shot-stopper.
But, with Petr Cech completing his move to Arsenal, the Blues have made a back-up goalkeeper their transfer priority.
Cech was made to play second-fiddle to Thibaut Courtois at Stamford Bridge last season, and in search of regular first-team football, decided to join the Gunners.
Stoke also assumed that Begovic would be frustrated with sitting on the Chelsea bench, however the 28-year-old is happy to be Courtois’ understudy.
And with just one year left on his current contract, manager Mark Hughes is willing to let the Bosnia-Herzegovina international leave this summer.
The Potters already have Jack Butland waiting to replace Begovic as the club’s number one, with the England U21 captain impressing while on loan the past few years.
