Manchester United have been halted in their chase for Harry Kane amid speculation that he is ready to sign a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur, Express reports.
The 22-year-old is currently on wages of £35,000-a-week after signing a five-and-a-half year deal with the club last year, but is already in line to be given a huge pay rise.
Apart from the mentioned amount, he is also expected to be given bonuses based on his performances at club level as well as his appearances made with the England national team as part of his new contract.
Tottenham, who sit second on the Premier League table, are currently top contenders to battle leaders Leicester City for the title as they are only behind by five points.
Kane has already featured 43 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far scoring 24 goals in the process.
