Manchester United have had a £110million bid for Gareth Bale and Raphael Varane rejected by Real Madrid, according to reports from the Express.
Real have been heavily linked with a move for United goalkeeper David de Gea for quite some time, which has the Red Devils keen on some of the La Liga giants’ players.
And with the two clubs in talks, the Man United hierarchy have made a £110million move in order to sign winger Bale and young centre-back Varane.
However, Real promptly rejected the offer, but reports suggest that as the De Gea saga continues, there will be more opportunities to discuss Bale or Varane’s potential exit.
United have also mooted their interest in Los Blancos striker Karim Benzema, who could be surplus to requirements following the expected arrival of Rafa Benitez as the new club manager.
Last week Carlo Ancelotti was sacked by Real after just two years in charge, despite the Italian winning the Champions League and the Copa del Rey during his first season.
