Manchester United as well as Louis van Gaal will have to act swiftly if they are to retain the services of Tyler Blackett, Paddy McNair, Jesse Lingard, Reece James, and Andreas Pereira, Daily Mail reports.
The five United players mentioned all risk the chance of leaving the club for free at the end of the season if no deals are struck between now and the close of the January window.
They will then be allowed to sign a pre-contract next month ahead of a potential move in the summer if no agreements have been reached over their future roles at Old Trafford.
It is believed that Van Gaal is likely to retain the services of Blackett and McNair, both of whom have impressed this season with the squad facing a number of defensive injuries.
Many fans will be hoping the Red Devils can reach an agreement with some of the players as soon as possible so that they don’t find themselves in another Paul Pogba situation.
