Manchester United are considering a move to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Marco Verratti to reinforce their squad, Metro reports.
The 23-year-old is currently a regular feature for the Ligue 1 champions, but could see his role limited if they decide to sign top target Paul Pogba from Juventus.
United are also said to be keen on signing Pogba, but could instead turn their attentions to the services of Verratti.
It is believed that PSG could decide to sell the Italy international, a factor that could spark a bidding war between the many Premier League giants monitoring his situation.
The midfield star has also attracted interest from rivals Arsenal, Manchester City, as well as Chelsea, all of whom are likely to make a move if he becomes available.
He has featured in 11 out of possible 18 league matches, registering two assists so far this term, but is yet to find the back of the net.
The midfielder also missed a number of fixtures over the past two months given that he suffered an injury which caused him to miss five consecutive matches.
