Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has come out to admit that Arsenal have no chance to overturn the 2-0 deficit against Barcelona in the Champions League, The Sun reports.
Given the result from the home fixture, the Gunners will face a very tough task trying to outscore their opponents at the Camp Nou.
Should manager Arsene Wenger fail to lead his side into the quarter-finals, they will be knocked out in the round of 16 for the sixth consecutive time.
Ferdinand revealed that Wenger’s men will find it impossible to defend against Barca’s attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar, a factor that will eventually see them eliminated.
“Do I give Arsenal a chance? No. Not at all,” he said.
“They have got to go there and score three goals to win outright and not concede. Well tell me the last team that did that?
“How do you defend against Messi, Suarez and Neymar? You pray a lot.”
The result of the first leg along with Premier League defeats against Manchester United and Swansea City as well as an FA Cup quarter-final loss to Watford has added huge pressure on the French manager.
Their recent drop in form now sees them fall 11 points behind league leaders Leicester City with only nine matches left to be played.
