Manchester United are said to still be considering a move to sign Newcastle United star Ayoze Perez to reinforce their squad, according to reports from Chronicle Live.
The 22-year-old was previously linked with a move to Old Trafford as manager Louis van Gaal was keen to add another attacker into his squad.
Perez was also close to a switch to Tottenham Hotspur over the previous window, but was denied any sort of move as the Magpies were keen to retain his services.
Despite being previously linked with an exit, the forward admitted that interest in him serves as a compliment to his performance, but is keen on continuing his role at St James’ Park.
He also caught the eye of Manchester City after impressing last term and has so far featured in six Premier League games this season, scoring one goal.
The player joined from Spanish second division outfits Tenerife back in the summer of 2014 for about £1.5million, but is now likely to see a rise in his price tag due to increased interest in his services.
