Man United looking to offload German international already

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho could be ready to sell one of Louis van Gaal’s big name signings.

The Manchester Evening News believe that the new Red Devils boss is keen to dispose of Bastian Schweinsteiger, as he’s convinced the midfielder is too injury prone to play a part in his first United season as manager.

The German turns 32 next month, and whilst he’s been spending this summer getting married, he could be about to take some time signing a contract with a new club.

Mourinho demands strong fitness levels at his clubs, and wants only the fittest of players.

Schweinsteiger only played in half of United’s league fixtures last season, and has suffered with knee problems both for club and country. He was ruled out of Germany’s semi-final at EURO 2016 with a knee injury.

And with the club looking to bring Paul Pogba to Old Trafford, it could be just the one season in Manchester for the experienced German.
