Man United manager demands stars to be horny for Europa League clash

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has told his players they should be ‘horny’ when they face FC Midtjylland in their Europa League second leg clash this Thursday, according to reports from the Mirror.

Van Gaal has come under some intense scrutiny the past few months, with United only winning six out of their last 19 games and their style of football being branded as boring by both fans and critics.

Up next for the Red Devils is a Europa League second leg game against Midtjylland at Old Trafford, in which they need to turn around 2-1 deficit to progress to the round-of-sixteen.

And to invigorate the team ahead of the game, the Dutchman, who was sitting next to Juan Mata, bizarrely urged his squad to be hungry and horny for the victory.

“We have to show desire, that is a very good word, hunger, and a lot of times I use the word horny to my players,” said van Gaal. “It’s true!”

The statement seemed to lift the mood during the press-conference, but Man United supporters will not be happy if their team is knocked out of Europe’s second-tier competition by the Danish champions.
