Manchester United pair Ander Herrera and Juan Mata could leave Old Trafford unless the club part ways with manager Louis van Gaal, Metro reports.
The 64-year-old has been under a lot of pressure in recent weeks after being unable to register a win from his last six matches in all competitions.
Mata has been a regular feature under the Dutchman, but is believed to be unhappy that his close friend Herrera is not being played enough.
United are currently considering their managerial options following the sacking of now former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho along with manager Pep Guardiola’s decision to leave Bayern Munich in the summer.
It is now said that if Van Gaal doesn’t leave in the January window, the midfield duo could rethink their future with the Red Devils.
The club have now dropped to fifth on the Premier League table following their latest defeat, level on points with Tottenham Hotspur in fourth, but are behind leaders Leicester City by nine points.
