Manchester United could lose Jose Mourinho to Inter Milan unless they act now in replacing under-fire manager Louis van Gaal, according to reports from The Sun.
Mourinho has been heavily linked to take over Van Gaal at the end of the season, with the Dutchman struggling to get positive results so far this term.
The Red Devils have just lost two in a row against Sunderland during the weekend and FC Midtyjylland in their Europa League clash on Thursday, and now almost every fan is against their current boss.
However, with Man United reluctant to move quickly to secure Mourinho’s services, Inter chief Massimo Moratti has invited to Portuguese to watch their game against Sampdoria.
Moratti was unhappy that Mourinho decided to leave after their 2010 Champions League triumph, and is expected to try to convince the Portuguese back to the Giuseppe Meazza instead of Old Trafford.
This will be a big blow to United, as top managers like Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti are already moving to Manchester City and Bayern Munich respectively.
