Manchester United are said to have ruled out the possibility of letting Adnan Januzaj complete a permanent move to Borussia Dortmund, according to reports from the Express.
The 20-year-old is currently on loan with the Bundesliga giants, having completed a deal for his services on deadline day.
It was earlier believed that manager Louis van Gaal was considering the idea of a swap deal involving the Belgium international in his efforts to sign £60million star Marco Reus.
However, United have played down speculation of the transfer and is keen on bringing Januzaj back to Old Trafford once his spell in Germany is completed.
A club source revealed that there were a number of club interested in signing the winger during the summer, but the Red Devils had no intentions of letting him leave on a permanent deal.
“There were a number of clubs interested in buying Januzaj, but all those offers were rejected out of hand,” a source told the Daily Mirror.
“We had no interest in selling a player who will be a big part of United’s future.”
It was also added that Celtic loanee Tyler Blackett will return to the side as he was promised a future with the Premier League giants ahead of his switch.
