Manchester United are currently linked with a move to sign Everton star Romelu Lukaku in order to reinforce their front line for next season, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The 22-year-old emerged as a potential replacement for star striker Robin van Persie, who is a target for Serie A winners Juventus.
Manager Louis van Gaal is believed to have added Lukaku to his list of potential attackers after struggling to complete deals for Gonzala Higuain, Edinson Cavani, as well as Gareth Bale.
The Toffees are likely to demand a huge fee in order for United to successfully acquire the services of the Belgium international, who netted 20 goals this past season.
However, it is said that Van Gaal has been given about £200million to fund moves for a host of high profile transfer targets, meaning finances isn’t likely to be a major problem.
He spent the 2013-2014 campaign on loan at Goodison Park where netted a total of 15 goals in 31 league appearances, earning himself a £28million move from Chelsea.
