Man United plot stunning £245m double Real Madrid raid

Manchester United are planning to use the Premier League TV rights deal to try and sign Real Madrid duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, Express reports.

Louis van Gaal is still looking to reinforce his squad with new players after their slow start to the current campaign, despite sitting third on the league table.

United have seen themselves move up into the Premier League’s top four and having been tipped to receive quite a bit of cash from the TV broadcasting rights deal, the Red Devils are looking to test Real Madrid’s resolve by making moves for two of their star players.

United will first ensure they keep top Madrid target David De Gea, while also planning to reinforce the club with Ronaldo and Bale.

The Madrid pair have constantly been linked with a move to Old Trafford ahead of the January window, but with their prices being too high, no formal offers have been submitted.

However, with their new financial boost, the Red Devils hierarchy may be considering a mega-money swoop at the end of the season.

Both Ronaldo and Bale have been having internal conflicts with the European champions in recent weeks, fuelling rumours of a summer exit.
