Man United preparing summer bid after failed Deadline Day move

Manchester United are preparing a massive summer bid for Paris Saint-Germain defender, Marquinhos, that is according to the Metro.

Louis van Gaal was widely tipped to strengthen his defensive options during the recently closed transfer window, and it is believed that the Dutchman made a Deadline Day move for the defender, with a couple of bids failing to prise the Brazilian international away from the Parc des Princes.

The 20-year-old, who is only in his second season with PSG following his move from Serie A side side AS Roma, has been a relative mainstay in the Ligue 1 outfit’s season so far, having made 19 appearances across the domestic competitions in France plus three appearances in the Champions League.

Manchester United face West Ham United in the final Premier League clash of the weekend later today, whereas Marquinhos will be hoping to play a part in PSG’s clash with table-toppers Lyon – a win would see Laurent Blanc’s side leapfrog their rivals.
