Manchester United have been watching West Ham starlet Reece Oxford as he plays for the Hammers’ youth sides and are preparing a summer move for the teenager, The Sun states.
The versatile defender or midfielder made an impressive introduction to senior football by playing a role in Slaven Bilic’s men beating Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on the opening day of the 2015-16 campaign.
Since then he has played a sparkling of games for the Europe-cashing Londoners but has spent most of his time in the youth ranks.
United are believed to have been scouting Oxford in youth games and have identified the 17-year-old as a player to move for this summer.
The Red Devils are in a transition and are expected to shake up their playing squad this summer, with landing players to build a team for the future around a priority.
West Ham will surely do everything in their power to keep Oxford at the club.
