Manchester United are ready to table a £25million offer in order to sign wantaway Liverpool star Raheem Sterling, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The 20-year-old has refused to extend his stay at Anfield, alerting a host of European clubs to his desire to leave.
United saw an earlier bid for Sterling rejected, but manager Louis van Gaal is set to make another attempt at luring him to Old Trafford.
Although Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is hoping to keep hold of the winger, it is believed all the interested parties will start a bidding war for his services.
Apart from the Red Devils, the England international has been linked with moves to Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid, as well as Bayern Munich.
It is also being tipped that if there is continued interest in the player, his price could even rise into the region of £50million, a valuation that Rodgers may find quite hard to turn down.
