Manchester United are ready to try and tempt Real Madrid to sell Gareth Bale again and will offer £95 million to see the former Tottenham attacker at Old Trafford, The Mirror report.
The Wales international moved to the Spanish capital two summers ago and had an excellent first campaign with the La Liga outfit – winning the Copa del Rey and Champions League, scoring in both finals in the process.
However, as Madrid’s quest for silverware fell apart in the second half of last season, Bale’s performances were scrutinised and he became something of a scapegoat for the team’s faltering form.
United have been linked with Bale on a number of occasions previously and are again set to make a move for him if the latest reports can be believed.
Louis van Gaal’s men are short of strikers currently, with potential to play Bale behind Wayne Rooney in a mouthwatering combination.
The Dutch manager spoke yesterday about a surprise deal still being on the cards, which has only added fuel to the transfer speculation.
