Manchester United are reportedly ready to match Bayer Leverkusen £10.9million release clause to sign Karim Bellarabi, according to the Metro.
The Red Devils have been monitoring Bellarabi for quite some time, with the intention of making a move at the end of the current campaign.
United’s previous approaches for the German have been rejected by Leverkusen, but that could all change after it has been revealed that Bellarabi has a buy-out clause set at £10.9million.
The 24-year-old signed a new deal with the Bundesliga club last week, and the release clause suggests that Bellarabi could be set for a summer exit.
Bellarabi made his breakthrough last season playing for Eintracht Braunschweig on loan from Leverkusen, and has featured heavily for his club this season, scoring nine goals in all competitions.
The four-time capped Germany international was also a target for Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool, with both set to provide United some stiff competition in signing the winger.
