Man United rivalled as Monaco join race for 16-goal La Liga star

Manchester United have been alerted after Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim reveals his desire to see Cristiano Ronaldo join him, Express reports.

The 30-year-old Real Madrid star is being tipped to leave his current club amid speculation that he shares a strained relationship with manager Rafa Benitez.

United boss Louis van Gaal previously admitted that a move for Ronaldo is being considered, but will also have to compete with PSG to his signature.

Jardim praised the Portugal international for his fitness while also stating that his addition into his squad will be seen as a huge boost.

“I believe he’ll still carry on playing for a few more years,” he said.

“If he continues in the same league as me, I’ll be delighted.

“But I’d be much happier if he played for the same team as me.”

He has been on sensational form of his club so far this term, scoring nine goals from 13 La Liga matches while registering another seven from his previous five Champions League matches.

Apart from the two mention sides, Chelsea are also speculated to have joined the race for his services given that have been performing well under-par so far this term.
