Manchester United are not expected to make any free signings despite the lengthy injury to star defender Luke Shaw, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
The 20-year-old suffered a double fracture to his right-leg during the 2-1 Champions League defeat at the hands of Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven.
Manager Louis van Gaal is still able to sign free agents despite the start of the campaign and can also register them to feature in the Premier League.
However, it is believed that the club already have adequate replacements for the injured left-back despite players like Ron Vlaar and Urby Emanuelson being available for free.
Van Gaal has a number of options in regards to filling the role, with Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind both capable of reverting from a centre-back position into a full-back.
Summer signing Matteo Darmian can also switch to the left flank if needed, freeing up room for youngster Paddy McNair to replace him on the right.
