Manchester United are in poll position to sign Dutch wonder kid Memphis Depay this summer, with The Mirror stating that the Red Devils will beat Tottenham to the star’s signature.
The Netherlands international has been lighting up the Eredivisie with star performances this season, with the 21-year-old’s performances firing PSV to the top of the table.
Both United and Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move for the prodigious talent, who leads the Dutch top flight’s goalscoring charts this season despite playing from a wide-right position.
The report insinuates that Louis van Gaal’s relationship with Depay from their time together with the Dutch national squad will be the deciding factor in the player’s decision, with United willing to pay £15 million to land the superstar attacker.
Tottenham are thought to have tried to land the Dutchman in January, but may well be forced to look at other targets now as a result.
