Manchester United are back in negotiations with Marquinhos’ agent over a possible summer move after failing to sign him on January’s transfer deadline day, Express reports.
The 20-year-old was the subject of two bids from Louis van Gaal during the previous window, but the Dutch boss saw both offers turned down.
Paris Saint-Germain value the Brazilian defender at £30million and despite making an offer over his asking price, the Ligue-1 giants are yet to agree to his departure.
Marquinhos joined from Serie A side Roma back in 2013 for a fee of £30million and is well on his way to becoming a regular player under Laurent Blanc.
The French side is said to have also offered him a new contract in the hopes that they can ward away any interest from the Red Devils.
However, Van Gaal will likely step up his pursuit of the defender in the build up to the summer transfer window, as he is yet to add an experienced centre-back into his squad.
