Manchester United have joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, according to reports from the Express.
The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Preston where he is being scouted by United having represented England from the Under-16 level all the way until the Under-21 squad.
Apart from the two mentioned clubs, Aston Villa are also rumoured to be keen on luring him to their side, but the Black Cats are said to be determined on retaining his services.
Despite the Red Devils having a large selection of goalkeepers to choose from, manager Louis van Gaal is still considering Pickford as another candidate.
With David De Gea being the first-choice keeper, Van Gaal still has Sergio Romero, Sam Johnstone, and Victor Valdes available in his ranks.
