Manchester United are ready to open talks with Tottenham Hotspur as they begin to plan for life after David de Gea with a move for Hugo Lloris, Daily Star reports.
The current United keeper is believed to have accepted a deal to complete a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the upcoming window, leaving a huge void between the sticks.
Lloris has now emerged as a top transfer target for manager Louis van Gaal, who was keen on keeping De Gea at Old Trafford.
Although Spurs chairman Daniel Levy revealed that his number one goalkeeper was not for sale, it is believed that the club may find an offer around the £35million region hard to turn down.
Madrid are said to be plotting an initial offer of around £20million to begin negotiations, but the price is expected to rise into the £30million region.
As well as the Red Devils, Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint-Germain, are also linked with a move for the Tottenham star.
