Manchester United star Luke Shaw has returned to training after undergoing multiple surgeries to fix a double leg fracture, according to reports from the Express.
The 20-year-old broke his right leg during the 2-1 loss to PSV Eindhoven following a tackle from Hector Moreno.
He was forced to complete his operation in Holland before flying back to Manchester to continue his recovery as he is expected to miss at least six months of football.
The left-back recently tweeted that he has returned to training as he now targets a long road to recovery.
“First day back at the training ground today, nice to be back,” he said.
His injury has caused a number of concerns for manager Louis van Gaal as he is yet to find a suitable replacement to fill the role.
Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind, Ashley Young, and Matteo Darmian have all been given a chance to play on the left of defence, but have not impressed the Dutch boss.
The England international could now miss the entire campaign and is also expected to be out of contention for a place in the European Championships.
