Manchester United star Memphis Depay have revealed that he will be celebrating if he scores against his former club PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League, according to reports from talkSPORT.
Depay was signed by the Red Devils from PSV early in the summer for £25million, and is already returning to the Philips Stadion where he spent nine years with the club since playing for the youth teams.
And although the club will always be a big part of Depay’s career, the 21-year-old claims that if he manages to score against them on Tuesday he will not hold himself back from celebrating.
“For me it’s a game, so if I score I will celebrate,” the United forward said.
“I have respect for PSV but I am a Manchester United player now.”
Depay hasn’t had the best of starts to life at Old Trafford, failing to score or provide an assist in his first five league games and was hauled off at halftime against Liverpool in place for Ashley Young when the game was at 0-0.
However, the Netherlands international will hope he finds the goalscoring touch he had last season, in which he bagged 28 goals in all competitions.
