Manchester United star Memphis Depay has dropped a hint regarding his club’s bid to sign a mystery striker after posting a picture of him and Everton star Romelu Lukaku, Independent reports.
The 21-year-only joined United during the current window from Eredivisie giants PSV Eindhoven and has now caused huge speculation over the potential signing of a new forward.
However, the links is not completely random as the Belgium international emerged as a previous transfer target for manager Louis van Gaal earlier this summer.
The Dutch boss recently revealed that he is looking to add a surprise signing to the squad following the departure of Radamel Falcao to Chelsea and Robin van Persie to Fenerbahce.
Depay posted a picture of himself alongside the Toffees star with a message that could point to a possible move for the attacker.
His message read: “See you soon.”
Lukaku joined from Chelsea last summer in a record deal worth £28million and has featured 48 times in all competitions for his side last term, scoring a total of 20 goals.
