Memphis Depay’s tenure at Manchester United is said to be coming to an end after the winger was omitted from the club’s FA Cup final squad, The Daily Star report.
The Dutch attacker moved to Old Trafford from PSV Eindhoven in a £25 million deal last summer and initially started life at the club well.
However, over time Depay fell down Louis van Gaal’s pecking order and has largely been a fringe figure in the second half of the season, with substitute cameos the extent of his time on the pitch.
With United set to step out at Wembley later today to face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final, the Netherlands international will not be in attendance after being omitted from the match-day squad.
The report suggests that Depay will be allowed to leave the Red Devils this summer and that Van Gaal’s men are ready to cut their losses on the misfiring star.
