Manchester United star Memphis Depay has come out to praise club legend and assistant manager Ryan Giggs for helping him rediscover his form, Daily Star reports.
The 21-year-old struggled to adapt to the Premier League since his arrival during the summer as he was benched in recent weeks by manager Louis van Gaal.
However, due to recent injuries to Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney, Depay was selected to lead the lines in the match against Watford at the weekend.
He managed to open the scoring for United as they came away with all three points after overcoming their opponents 2-1.
Depay revealed that he has been working with Giggs in training as he hopes to help his teammates continue to pick up results.
“I think every young player goes through things but I keep training and enjoy the training sessions,” said the Man United youngster,” he said.
“The stuff [I am learning] has stuck with me and Giggs has given me good advice. I’ve been working on some things with him.
“I’m happy to get the help of everyone and happy to play to show that I can be important.”
United are now second on the table, a point behind league leaders Leicester City and followed closely behind by Arsenal and Manchester City in third and forth respectively.
