Man United star unexpectedly axed from Spain squad, won’t take part in Euro 2016

According to reports from The Sun, Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has reportedly been axed from Spain’s Euro 2016 squad.

The 25-year-old was set to star as Spain’s No.1 at the tournament after usurping long-serving goalkeeper Iker Casillas from the role, but he’s now reportedly been sent home.

The news coincides with reports from Spanish publication El Diario, which implicates him in a criminal case involving porn producer Ignacio Fernandez Allende – also known as Torbe.

A female witness has claimed she was abused by two footballers at a hotel back in 2012, one being Athletic Bilbao forward Iker Muniain and the other one remaining unnamed.

De Gea is alleged to have arranged the encounter and kept in contact with Torbe to ensure the witness didn’t tell the press.

He’s also alleged to have later attempted to arrange another meet with five Manchester United players – although it’s unknown whether that actually took place.
