Manchester United star Memphis Depay has hit back at his critics despite struggling to find form since his move from PSV Eindhoven, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The 21-year-old completed a £25million switch from the Dutch giants during the summer, but is yet to replicate the form which saw him become a star in the Eredivisie last term.
Depay has now come out to admit that he isn’t paying attention to all the negative comments over his displays and is only open to constructive criticism.
“I just let the criticism slide off me,” he said.
“I’m not really paying attention to it.
“Only constructive criticism can do something for you. I just let the rest go. Everyone will have an opinion, but that is part of life.”
Despite subbing out the Netherlands international after only 45 minutes in the 3-0 defeat to Arsenal, manager Louis van Gaal has urged the fans to be patient as he adapts to the English game.
He managed to score 22 goals in 30 league matches for PSV last term, but has so far only registered one goal from his previous eight Premier League appearances.
