Manchester United star Ashley Young has warned top-four rivals Liverpool that his side will be going out to win when they travel to Anfield this coming Sunday, according to the Daily Star.
Liverpool are currently on great form after a brilliant run of results, winning eight out of their last nine league fixtures.
However, United still hold the advantage in the race for the final Champions League position, leading Brendan Rodgers side by two points ahead of the Reds in fifth.
And although a point is enough to see the Red Devils remain fourth on the table, Young is adamant that despite Liverpool’s winning streak, the 13-time Premier League champions will not be settling for a draw when the two sides meet this weekend.
Young said: “We will go there looking for the three points.
“We are going there to win, you don’t go to a place to try and draw.
“The performance against Tottenham was brilliant but we have a tough game coming up at Liverpool.
“We have got to dust ourselves down in the right way and go for the three points again.”
United have recently been criticized over their slow and unattractive style of football, but last weekend Louis van Gaal’s side gave one of their best displays of the season as they beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 at Old Trafford, with all three goals coming before half-time.
