Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has confirmed he will be available for the Red Devils’ match against West Bromwich Albion on Monday, Daily Mail reports.
The Spaniard sustained a rib injury three weeks ago, but has recovered much quicker than initially expected.
Herrera is confident he will be able to play against the Baggies and has told manager Louis van Gaal he can be used after an injection of painkillers.
If the 25-year-old is however still deemed unfit for the clash, then Van Gaal still has a couple of other players he could deploy in centre-midfield.
Marouane Fellaini made his comeback from injury by coming on as a substitute against former club Everton last weekend, while Michael Carrick is set to play behind-close-doors in a friendly with Burnley on Friday afternoon.
The Red Devils currently sit fourth in the league table after winning two consecutive games, and will be hoping to make that three against the Baggies before they host Premier League leaders Chelsea the following gameweek.
