Manchester United youngster Callum Gribbin has snubbed interest from Liverpool in order to extend his stay at Old Trafford, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The 16-year-old alerted the club’s Premier League rivals after speculation that he had a strained relationship with his youth team coaches.
However, Gribbin looks to have put all his problems behind him as he revealed via his Twitter account that he has penned a new four-year deal with United.
“Happy to sign a four year deal.. Good things take time, now time to focus on the season ahead! Blessed,” he said.
It is believed that he will spend his first year on scholarship before being given another three years on a professional deal.
He was a standout performer for the Under-18 side last term and was even present in a training session with the senior squad ahead of their preseason tour in the United States.
The left-winger, who is currently being dubbed as the new Ryan Giggs, has already represented England at the Under-16 as well as the Under-17 level.
