Manchester United have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Benfica ace Goncalo Guedes, Daily Star reports.
The 19-year-old has been linked with a host of European elites this season after impressing for the Portuguese giants.
Apart from the two mentioned clubs, Manchester City and Chelsea are also believed to be monitoring the displays of the winger.
United have now stepped up their efforts to sign the player as they have already scouted the player on multiple occasions over the course of the current campaign.
He is currently tied down on a contract until 2021, with all the interested sides needing to pay £40million in order to trigger his release clause.
Guedes has featured in 11 league fixtures and six Champions League matches this term, so far scoring four goals while providing another four assists.
He rose through the youth academy at his current side and is now being compared to Bayern Munich attacker Douglas Costa.
