Manchester United target Edinson Cavani is being tipped to remain with Paris Saint-Germain amid speculation that he will be given a bigger role next season, Mirror reports.
The 28-year-old was linked with an exit throughout the previous campaign after it was believed that he was unhappy with his role on the wings.
Cavani prefers to play straight down the middle, but has often been used out of position in order for PSG boss Laurent Blanc to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his only striker.
However, the Uruguayan international could now stay in France after he was said to have been promised a more prominent role in the squad due to the possible departure of Ibrahimovic.
The Sweden international is now being linked with a return to former side AC Milan and could be playing his final game for the Ligue 1 champions in the French Super Cup on August 1st.
Despite being deployed out of position, Cavani was still in great form for his side last season, scoring a total of 31 goals from 52 appearances in all competitions.
